MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
The protection of children's rights, raising awareness of the plight of the underprivileged child, providing psychological, educational and legal advice to the children, their families and aid workers, counteracting social exclusion, and providing (self) assistance to disabled and terminally ill children and their parents.

FIELDS OF INTERVENTION
The activities of the Society include creating environmental clubs for excluded children on a national level, establishing "The Centre for Rehabilitation, Education and Care of the Society of the Friends of Children", The National Adoption-Protective Centre, National committees for the assistance of disabled and terminally ill children. The organisation has been active within the 16 regions where they operate with institutions for street children (about 300 of them), among which are centres for mediation, family assistance, crisis intervention, psychological help, youth and children relaxation, rehabilitation, as well as workshops and training therapy. SFC also took part in the programmes, "Hope' 98" and "Action Man."
