MISSION
AND OBJECTIVES
The main
mission of the organisation is maintenance and development of awareness of the
national identity of the Romanies, development of their social and cultural
life. The organisation is an association which defends the interests in Roma
children and youth. The Association of Roma Youth and Children in Slovakia unites
Roma and non Roma young people, children and adults. RAMAD organizes leisure time activities for its
members and for unattached Roma youth and children. RAMAD helps the convergence
of the Roma population with the majority population and other nationalities. The
organisation cooperates with another non-governmental organisations, social
sphere, communal sphere and health sector. The organisation exchanges
experiences with other social, cultural, sport organisations and organizes
common events. RAMAD also maintains regular contacts with Roma institutions
outside the Slovak
Republic.
The main object
of the organisation is to improve living conditions, education and health
focusing primarily on Roma youth and children.
